Opportunities

Lab members will acquire skills in inorganic, organic, and materials synthesis along with proficiency in a wide range of techniques, including crystallography, spectroscopy, photochemistry, and reaction development. Beyond training to become rigorous and independent scientists, lab members will also be mentored to develop creative, integrated, and collaborative approaches to confront existing and emerging challenges in science and technology.

The Gonzalez Lab is currently recruiting undergraduate students, graduate students, and postdoctoral fellows. Inquiries about research are always welcome. Refer to the dropdown menu below for more information on joining the lab.

  • Dartmouth undergraduate students interested in conducting research in the lab should contact Miguel.

  • Prospective graduate students should first apply to the Dartmouth Chemistry Ph.D. program. You are also encouraged to sign up to our mailing list and virtual information sessions.

  • The lab is currently seeking postdoctoral candidates with expertise in organic, inorganic, or materials synthesis.

Postdoctoral candidates should send a cover letter, C.V., a two-page research summary, a one-page statement of future research interests in the group, and contact details for two or more reference letter writers. Applications should be sent to Miguel via e-mail with “Postdoc Application” in the subject. Only complete applications will be considered.

Applicants are encouraged to apply for independent funding through fellowships and should contact Miguel for assistance at least two months ahead of fellowship application deadlines.
